RUSSIA - NOVGOROD OBLAST / Новгородская область

Novgorod Oblast (Russian: Новгоро́дская о́бласть, Novgorodskaya oblast) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Veliky Novgorod. Some of the oldest Russian cities, including Veliky Novgorod and Staraya Russa, are located in the oblast. The historic monuments of Veliky Novgorod and surroundings have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Novgorod Oblast borders with Leningrad Oblast in the north and in the northwest, Vologda Oblast in the east,Tver Oblast in the southeast and in the south, and Pskov Oblast in the southwest.

This is my first cover from Novgorod Oblast of Russian Federation, sent by Nadia. She went to post office and specially instructed for clear postmark, the postal staff did the best way on the cover. Thank You Nadya for the big help and contribution to my cover project. You can see the stamp second from left  written as 'Novgorod Oblast' From Region of Russia series stamps issued from 1997 to 2011. I wish to collect all the regions from Russia in the similar ways with 'Regions of Russia' series stamps.
